Build-a-bots from Colorific are a range of colourful and cute robots which are easy to assemble with a click and create system.
My seven year old son was so excited to road test this toy. He had seen it on TV and couldn’t wait to get cracking, building the robotic dinosaur. The Build-a-bots are suitable for 5+ and the instructions are easy enough to understand however my seven year old needed some guidance from his older sister and myself.
Inside the box everything is set out clearly.
With everything laid out it’s easy to see which bit is which. I would suggest (as the box says) kids under 8 will need to have a little bit of help as some parts of the building process are a little tricky (even for oldies like me) – but they won’t frustrate you!
Each bit connects in easily, and you know you have each piece in properly once you hear that ‘click’.
There are 20 pieces in each kit and the instructions also include robotics learning features. It was quite interesting reading through all the facts as we put the Dino together.

Build-a-Bots are a great educational toy that are fun for kids to complete by themselves or in a group.
My son and daughter had a blast building this little Dino and in the end has some understanding of how it worked.
