Buying or selling a home can be overwhelming at the best of times.
We began looking for a property (our first home) about two months before the market went completely bonkers a few years back. Needless to say, the crazy prices put an end to our search. Over the last few years buying a home in Sydney has become out of reach for many people, including us. This year has seen the market start to ‘ease’ which has given us hope that this may be the year we finally buy our first home.
Given that we’ve been contemplating buying a house for a few years now, I’ve become familiar with a few useful websites and apps which contain a heap of information for buyers and sellers. These resources have helped me prepare for buying our first home and to tackle some important decisions.
One of the sites that I came across was RateMyAgent, a site that provides recommendations, rankings and reviews on real estate agents in Australia. I reckon that buyers and vendors alike will find this site useful.
As a buyer, RateMyAgent helps you to determine which agents are selling what properties in your key suburbs of interest. It is incredibly helpful being able to review agents by suburb and it’s really reassuring when you’re looking to engage an agent to find your dream property.
The site allows you to see recent vendor reviews, the most recommended agents per suburb, and agents with the greatest number of sales plus so much more! The site is amassing 2,000+ reviews each week from genuine vendors so the depth of reviews is incredibly helpful.
Buying a house is a daunting process so it pays to know your options and to be well researched before you put in an offer. Whether you are buying, selling or renting, it’s good to know there are some great resources out there to make life easier.
