When I want to whip up some healthy food I have a few ‘go-to’ websites.
For all the sugar free recipes, I can’t go past iquitsugar.com.au. Sarah Wilson has some great recipes on her site and you can be assured they are not only sugar free but also super tasty 🙂
Sugar Free – www.iquitsugar.com.au
Another website I often visit is thewholedaily.com.au. This is a great health and well-being site by Alice Nicholls. (I bought my first Kombucha scoby from Alice).

For treats I love the rawdessertapp by Lauren Glucina of ascensionkitchen.com.au. This is another great health and wellness site, and if you want smoothies Lauren also has an app for that! greensmothiesapp
Green smoothies and raw desserts – www.ascensionkitchen.com.au
If you are looking for some great sites full of healthy recipes, smoothies and nutritional info then these three are a fantastic place to start.
So the other day I got the baking bug and decided I needed some healthy snacks for the kids lunch boxes (and for me). I headed over to The Whole Daily and saw a delicious looking Paleo Blueberry Bread – ha the kids won’t even know this is good for them 🙂
You can find the recipe here. The only change I made was I added half a grated apple to the mix to ensure the bread was moist.
Now it was time to make something savoury. I headed over to iquitsugar.com.au and found the Eye Am Healthy Cheesy Spinach Frittatas. The dill in these really makes them delicious, an absolutely scrumptious lunch idea!! You can find the recipe here.
Now it was time to make a dessert.
But not a sugary, yucky one…you can still have sweet and healthy. The Rosy Rocky Road from the rawdessertapp is to die for! You need to remember this is a treat so try not to scoff a handful – it is difficult because it’s so yummy. This is supposed to be topped with rose petals but because I didn’t have any I just used chopped cranberries.
If I was to make this one again I would probably add more macadamias to make it more nutty (and because I love them). You can find this recipe and heaps of other raw treats on the rawdessertapp.
Know any great health and well-being sites? I’m always on the look out for great healthy recipes.
