Hi-5 celebrates 15 years on Australian TV with a new series.
It’s been 15 years since Hi-5 hit Australian TV screens. Since launching in 1999 there have been many talented performers pass through the Hi-5 ranks. This year has seen a new face in the Hi-5 line up with the addition of Tanika Anderson.
Tanika joins Stevie, Dayen, Ainsley and Mary in the brand new new series of Hi-5 House which airs on Nick Jr. The latest series will cover contemporary themes that media savvy kids of today can relate too.
Hi-5 has been a favourite with my kids, my older two not so much anymore but my four year old is still under the Hi-5 spell! He loves the energy of the show – singing and dancing around the lounge room.
He isn’t alone, Hi-5 has an estimated global audience of more than 10,000,000 children with it’s tours, music and TV shows. The new series of Hi-5 House continues to captivate kids aged 2-8 with music, movement, problem solving and play.
You can check out the new series on Nick Jr and for more information and Hi-5 fun visit Hi-5 World.

November 20, 2014 at 9:37 pmKellie has always been a HUGE favourite here, her interactions with Chats were always hilarious, and she was always so bright and cheerful. Loved the one where she said bring a plate, and everybody brought something that rhymed.

November 20, 2014 at 6:43 pmJup Jup an alien who loves having fun and playing tricks on the other Hi-5 members, sometimes, to their consternation. However, Jup Jup does not mean any ill-will, he simply loves playing games.

November 3, 2014 at 5:41 pmMy beautiful nephew, Calvin, has been the biggest Hi-5 fan since the original cast! His favourite character is Charli because she is friendly and hyperactive. Calvin’s favourite current cast member is Mary because her birthday is in October which is the same month as Calvin’s birthday. Calvin loves all of the Hi-5 members, past and present! 🙂

November 3, 2014 at 7:30 amWe’re still watching the re-runs of the ancient Hi-5 videos with the original cast – Charli, Kelly, Kathleen etc. My daughter just loves Hi-5 and her favourite character is the one I just can’t love, no matter how hard I try. The effervescent, over does it, exaggerated Nathan. She loves how he moves, albeit too pronounced and showy. She loves that he sings so exuberantly, dances with gusto. I just find him irritating. Is that sad – after all it is a kids show. But she adores him so that’s the important thing.

November 3, 2014 at 7:17 amCharlie from the original Hi-5. She’s now a radio announcer here on the Gold Coast but I still visualise her singing all her catchy songs in fluro clothes.
