Mindfulness On The Run by Dr Chantal Hofstee
Quick, Effective Mindfulness Techniques For Busy People.
So I’ve heard about mindfulness and have even tried it a couple of times. But sure enough something happens and I’m back into by busy, hectic life and mindfulness is a distant, hazy memory. I thought to myself, maybe it just wasn’t for a busy mum of three whose down time is usually when she can sneak to the bathroom on her own (for a change).
Well a new book came across my desk, Mindfulness on the Run by Dr Chantal Hofstee, and it has inspired me to give mindfulness another go. This book is different to many of the others I’ve read on the topic as it’s specifically for busy people who don’t have a spare twenty minutes a day to stop and do nothing (and by nothing I mean be mindful or meditate).
We all know how good mindfulness practice is for us, but how do you implement it in your life if you’re so busy that you simply don’t have time for anything else?
As a busy psychologist, wife and mother, Dr Chantal Hofstee has developed a quick, effective program that enables you to slot mindfulness into your life without the need for formal meditation practice.
“I know from firsthand experience how hectic and stressful life can be for them, so I have developed material that can fit in with a busy lifestyle. The result will be less stress, a calmer and clearer mind, enhanced productivity and health and most importantly a happier, more enjoyable life.” Dr Chantal Hofstee
I found Mindfulness on the Run easy to read and the techniques seem achievable within my busy life. If you want to give mindfulness a go but thought you just don’t have the time, then this is the book for you.
Stress makes you work hard, mindfulness makes you work smart.

July 19, 2016 at 11:02 amIt’s hard to be mindful when you have lots on your plate, but it’s vital that you take the time to check in and look after yourself. Reading about mindfulness isn’t the cure though – helpful tips are! This book sounds like it delivers just that, so I’d love to read it and then pass it on to friends and family who might it helpful 🙂
