Does anyone remember these? The erasers that were meant to rub out pen but actually scratched a hole in your paper.
Well gone are the days you need to write in pencil for fear of making a mistake. Pilot Pen Australia recently surveyed business workers across Australia finding a whopping 85 per cent worry about making mistakes at work.
The survey was conducted to get an insight into the thoughts and habits of Australian office workers. Given that Pilot Pen supply thousands of ink pens to offices across Australia it makes sense they would want to understand their market.
“38 per cent of those surveyed said that they worried that making a mistake would tarnish their reputation with 35 per cent saying they wanted to be respected and rewarded for their performance. Just 11 per cent said they wanted to avoid being passed over for a promotion. The majority (40 per cent) said not achieving key goals, outcomes and budgets was their worst fear,” said Ms Barbara Oliver, marketing manager, Pilot Pen Australia.
So what were some of the biggest fears of Australian office workers?
- Failing to achieve key outcomes/goals was considered the worst mistake ever made (32 per cent)
- Written errors and spelling mistakes (30 per cent)
- Hitting ‘send’ on an email to the wrong person was also high up on the worst mistakes list (26 per cent)
- Interestingly getting drunk at the office party ranked at just 12 per cent.
Well one thing you don’t have to worry about anymore is making a mistake when using a Frixion pen. These super duper pens, recently introduced to the Australian market use a thermo-sensitive ink that can be rubbed out!
The friction-generated heat caused when rubbing the paper with the special tip turns the ink invisible (put the document in the freezer and the ink re-appears). Best of all it won’t scratch or damage the paper like those old-school erasers!
Honestly, where have these been all my life!
Frixion pens come in all different colours and thicknesses, you can check out the whole range here. Frixion is available in all major retailers, newsagents and stationery suppliers nationally. Visit: www.pilotp
